Yes Youth and Women Can (YYWC), a not for profit organization is proud to announce that they were able to secure support from the city of Brampton by way of an official proclamation to declare the month of July to be Swahili Heritage Month. Accordingly, there will be an official flag raising ceremony at Brampton city hall at 2 pm - 5 pm on Jul 12, 2026. Come one come all for this free event and lets support our heritage during this momentous occasion. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Don't miss this event!
